  • NXT on top of #16 Query?

    Hi,
I waxed my car with #16 (on top of existing NXT) on monday but prefer the look of the NXT that I have been using recently.
Will I be ok to put a the NXT on top of the #16 tonight?

    Cheers

    Hy Ryan328is,

You can go about this two ways.

    1) You can apply a gentle paint cleaner like Deep Crystal Paint Cleaner, or a gentle cleaner/polish like the #9 Swirl Remover 2.0 to the entire finish and this should gently remove most of the #16 PPW.

    2) You can try applying a well worked in coat of the NXT Tech Wax right over the #16 PPW and chances are the NXT Tech Wax combined with the act of pushing a foam applicator pad over the finish will have enough of a cleaning effect to replace the #16 PPW with the NXT Tech Wax.

Before you start, you could always experiment on the hood or decklid and then inspect to see which method appears to be working the best.

Thank's for the reply Mike, I went for option 2 and it has turned out very well.
I washed with NXT wash and then applied NXT tech wax.
The NXT tech wax went on very evenly and it was very easy to remove.

My finish now has the deep, wet, glossy look I've grown to love from NXT again.
