Pad and product choice on a CYCLO

    What is your combination ???

    I like to use

White pads for waxing and to take off

Swade bonnet and m/f Bonnet one of these made the paint look dull have not worked out which 1 yet

green pad I like #80 on this pad

orange pad did not think much of this pad so i use it with #4 to polish the glass

yellow pad I have used #85 and #83 glogs up very quick

what I tend to do now is use a rotary for #85 & #83 then use the CYCLO to finish of

Heh heh, nah, you're not alone, I use the Cyclos far more than the PCs.

Cyclo brand pads (use these more than any others):

White- LSPs and final "burnishing" polishing steps. My favorite way to apply #16. I also use these with very light one-steps on good condition paint.
Green- Mild polishing and one-steps (except on very soft paint), I use these a lot.
      Orange- Most moderate correction.
Yellow- I primarily use these under MF bonnets. I used to use them for some moderate correction, they don't seem to keep their "cut" very long, it's like they get milder after a while. If I can't do correction with the orange pads I get out the rotary, so these are just for bonnets now.

      LC pads:

I use their white pads occasionally, but I don't like the concave shape.

      Sonus pads:
      Blue- LSPs and final polishing
      White- Mild polishing

      MF bonnets:

Suede-style: LSP removal. I do almost all of my LSP buffing this way.

Plush: Polish and LSP removal on beaters. Not gentle enough for use on my vehicles, only use them at all because I have them on hand. They're good enough for service loaners and rentals but that's about it IMO.

I've been meaning to try some DFTowel bonnets, they oughta be great.

        tku Accumulator

do you use the white at all to buff of the wax or do you use the swade for this ???

have you tyred the m/f bonnet
I think it might have been this bonnet that put the fine marks back into the paint work
I had used this as my LSP
I think i will go onto the suede now

do you find that the orange glogs up a lot ????
