My #21 has turned to a purple milk

So, I'm at a customer's location on Saturday,
I just finished laying down my second pass of #80, I reach for my #21 and give it a quick shake. Usually when you're shaking it you get that good ol' goopy sound, but this time, the sound was like shaking a bottle of Aquafina

I pop the top, turn the bottle upside down, and the product pours out like water.
Has this happened to anyone else?

Was the bottle maybe in direct sunlight?

It has always been stored indoors, It was useable a week ago on another vehicle I was doing, I'm just using my NXT for now, until I buy another bottle of #21

Mine did that. At first it was not like that so I returned it and got some #21 in the 16 oz. bottle and it is much better.

Are you able to shake it up so that the separation goes away. I would say if you can't get it to recombine, and you see little water globules in it, that it is defective and should be returned.

mine has done the exact same thing, except that it will not re-mix at all. stays a separated water and purple mess. who do i contact about getting it replaced? i bought it MONTHS ago before i took it out to use it - now that i did, i find it was like i said.

Call the place where you bought it from and they will take care of it.

I heard once that bacteria can get in there and eat up the wax and make the product watery. It happen to me with a bottle of #9 once.

I didn't think there was any real wax in #21 I thought it is synthetic.

yeup...happended to me 2 weeks ago, just got done claying the car, and i reached for the M21, and it was liqified. ADS is sending me out a new bottle...sheesh between defective backing plates and now this, its been frustrating getting into this detailing thing. MEGS has done an awesome job with backing up their products...i ll be a customer for life...as long as my backing plates stop failing....

ADS is great to deal with!!! That is unusual about the backing plates. Mine is several years old, and I've been known to operate my G100 at 6.0!
