    stocking up before starting up

    before i start detailing, i want to have a complete line of meguiars products. so far i have smooth surface detailing clay, bug & tar remover, DC#2 & #3. i am planning to buy nxt car shampoo, scratch X & DC#1. my question is do i still need to buy both scratchX & DC#1? what are the benefit of both products? still a newbie here sorry. . . hehehe. . . any answers will do thanks

    You dont have to buy bug and tar remover,claybar takes all that away more effective than bug and tar remover does.
    DC#1 is a pure paint cleaner when scatch-x will clean and take away some swirlmarks from the paint.

      ScratchX is used to remove light swirls, scratches, but takes a lot of effort to work in. It is not something to use on an entire car if you dont have to.

      DC#1 is a mild cleaner, that while still working it in a bit, is much easier and cheaper to go over your whole car with on a regular basis.
