  • NXT or #16 on polished aluminum?

I finally got the polished aluminum cases on my 1995 Harley Sportster 1200 to the point of looking almost like chrome (Mother's Billet Metal Polish). Now to slow down oxidation, should I apply NXT or #16 or both. I don't ride this bike a whole lot any more. (It's the back up bike to my other Harley. A person should never sell his first Harley. It's kind of like your "first born' child. ) Riding it or not, the aluminum dulls pretty fast.

When I used to ride it a lot, I'd hit the cases with #6 cleaner/wax every time I washed it. That worked darned well.

Since you posted this, Meguiar's introduced NXT Generation All Metal Polysh

If you get a chance, give this a try as it contains an anti-corrosion agent.
