I didn't tape off when I did the car this weekend, and I have what I can only assume are some water spot type marks left from excess #39 and #40 on certain areas of the paint and the driver's side window. Will ths do any harm until I can get it washed again? I didn't see any warnings on the bottles but just want to be cautious. Will QD take them off, or will I need to use scratchx or cleaner wax to take them off?

Well, I suppose it could maybe etch if left too long, esp in direct sun, and it cant be good for the wax.
Just use QD to wipe it off, and some glass cleaner on glass. I dont get good results from QD on glass.2017 Subaru WRX Premium - WR Blue

Try QD as Murr1525 suggested. I've had this happen many times in the past after it rains. The dressing always seems to run down the paint. One time, I forgot what I used, it wouldn't come off with QD so I ended up waxing the door panel. I've also had it run dowm my truck bed and left it for a few days with no problems.

Streaking usually has to do with too thick of a coating, not thoroughly and evenly applying, and not allowing the wax to fully dry before removing.
It can also be caused by applying a wax to the wrong condition finish.

How much pressure should I be applying to the even coat applicator when applying product? Just whatever my hand and wrist can muster, or should I lean my weight into sorta like CPR? Somewhere in between?
