Re: Difference between LT and FI?

That's kind of a personal preference. FI is bodyshop safe, while LT is not. I personally am not thrilled with the smell of LT, it's a bit overpowering and tends to cling to your hands, and I also find it to be a little more "oily" rather than watery, so it takes a couple of passes to wipe it off the paint surface. LT is available only in gallons, while FI comes in a 16oz (or is it bigger) spray bottle as well as gallons.

Last Touch provides a slicker surface than Final Inspection. As was mentioned above, Final Inspection is body shop safe. Last Touch smells like coconut, makes me think I'm on vacation in the Bahamas LOL! Last Touch provides some protection while Final Inspection does not.

Last Touch is also available in an aerosol foam version. It smells like Final Detail did:

I thought that LT was supposed to be the bulk version of NXT speed detailer?

so is speed detailer body shop safe?

I think the answer to both questions is no.

Last Touch came out well before NXT Speed Detailer, IIRC. I think I've only used the NXT once, but I remember it being more like the maroon-bottle QD than LT.

Don't want to hijack the thread but could somebody explain what "body shop safe" means?

                  Thanks.
It's only weird because it's not normal

Body shop safe means that it can be used on freshly painted (uncured) surfaces.
