new 2007 camry.. how long till i can wax it?

I remmeber it used to be that you were not sapposed to wax a new car for a couple months after you got it. However the delaership told me i could wax it whenever. I did not get the "super special" paint protection they wanted to sell me.

Any idea what the time frame is to wait nowadays? I washed it last night with gold clas wash and some parts of the car are giving me the squeak with the hand test.

I plan on keeping this car for 10 years so want to make sure I start soon to keep it looking good!

Hi:

You can wax it today.

The factory paint has been baked, so no waiting period is required.

You will only have to wait for the paint to cure if it has been repainted.

The paint on a new car is baked on at the factory, by the time the car comes out the other side, is loaded onto a train, ship or truck and delivered to the dealership and then sits on the lot until you drive it off, it's 100% fully cured and set-up.
