  • #7 ?

    Hi,
Can some one tell me what the advantages are to applying #7 after
80/83? What would the benefits be? Also after 80/83 if I go to #7 then#21 would it be worth it to apply a carnuba or just leave the #21 ? If I did apply a carnuba then I guess I couldn't add layers of #21 after the carnuba?
    Thank you for your time.

    Re: #7 ?

The number 7 will give you more of a deep, wet shine because it is a pure polish. The 80 and 83 both have polish in them, but if you want more shine use the 7 as well. If you apply the number 21, there is no need to apply Carnuba Wax. Two coats of the 21 will offer great protection.
This might help with the concept of layering as well:

Adding to what 'John Keeling' posted....

Adding a 'Pure Polish' like #7, #81 or Deep Crystal Polish adds more to the end look. Its not must since both #80 and #83 are cleaner/polishes all in one bottle, but.... IMO its well worth it to add a pure polish to your detailing process its easier to see the difference on a darker colored vehicle.

        Re: #7 ?

I used #7 twice and I was very happy with it. Definetly worth the extra time. One time I topped it with two coats of #26 and the other time I topped it with #20. It really does give the paint a nice deep gloss.

Ive used #7 twice now and love the shine it gives. IMHO noting beats #7 followed by #26, this is just in my experience though..

I will second that! I have been absolutely in love with #26 for about a year, but this past weekend I finally tried #7 and #26 together on my car and WOW does it look amazing!
