I'm a very happy Meguiars user, but I have a problem after using the claybar. This is the very first time that something went wrong yesterday. It's very weird, because I use the clay very often.
I used a pretty new and clean claybar. I always use Quick Detailer (paint and claybar) to prevent smudging and scratching. Although the paint and claybar was wet and safe, the claybar stucked at the paint. Oke, no big problem, there was a tiny little part dry. This can happen. I used some Quick Detailer and did it again. The clayparts were gone, but I saw a sort of defect, like a filmlayer, IN the paint.
To clay that part again, didn't do the tric, because the paint was as smooth as glass already. So I used some ScratchX for almost one hour non-stop. The result is oke, but the defect is still visible, but the spot is smaller right now.
Can somebody help me with some good advice how to prevent further damage or how to restore that spot? I hope that there is a less aggressive solution then using ScratchX or #83. Oh by the way, the paint is black metallic with clearcoat.
