Re: 4 inch pads
I thought the pictures in post #125 in the thread below made it pretty clear there were going to be some 4" pads introduced.

I use the Cyclo 4" pads, and I love them. I have a set for headlights, chrome, and I use them in the hard to reach areas a 6" pad can't reach. They really come in handy when I'm working with luggage racks.Never argue with an Idiot.. They'll only drag you down to their level, then beat you with experience..

Re: 4 inch pads
I thought all of the questions relating to 4" pads were on topic.
I have Sonus and Propel 4" pads. Both are very good pads. They are more aggressive than 6" pads but not nearly as aggressive as 6" pads with a rotary. I mainly use them to work small areas or fit tight body contours.
I think they are worth the money. But that's me, I never mind spending the extra for good tools.
The counterweights may be important when sanding but I don't worry about them for buffing.
4" pads will not fit in door handle pockets, at least the pockets I've seen. Nor will 3" pads. (I've been threatening to make my own 1" rotary pads.)
It probably doesn't make any difference but I noticed that small pads tend to have square edges rather than rounded. Maybe I'm just paranoid but they look like they would tend to swirl on inside corners. I use a Lake Country spur, which has a "cheese grater" foam contouring feature, to round off the edge before using them.
PC.
