Well with over 70 years of manufacturing pure polishes for the automotive trade and with over 100 years of experience manufacturing pure polishes for the furniture industry, there are no problems you will run into using Meguiar's pure polish. Had their been problems, we would have addressed them a long, long, long time ago.
We read your question on the other forum and the answer is actually over there also, that said, what people do is misunderstand that applying the pure polish to that Corvette wasn't part of the process, it was a "Bonus" technique thrown in at the end because one of the correct uses of a pure polish is to apply it to a finish in excellent condition to bring out the wet look before a show and after machine cleaning and polishing that Corvette, the perfect car for the demonstration was sitting there ready to demonstrate the correct technique for applying and removing a pure polish.
It was a bonus at the end, just like how to use a Spray wax was a bonus feature at the end, not part of the cleaning, polishing and protecting process.
