    Hey guys,wondering if anybodys used a gold class,x4006 8" finishing pad the one i talked about in another post.it's not black it's gray,sorry.Whats the difference between that, and the w9000 soft buff finishing pad, besides the color? & whats the "w" mean? thanks any info?

    Never seen an X4006 pad (and I've only seen the 6" X4001 and X4002 in pictures) but my understanding is that they're different foam formulas from the W#00# pads. Since the X pads have built in backing plates for "pseudo-rotary" use on a drill I think they need to operate somewhat differently from the others.

    The W pads all have Velcro "loop" backing to be used on tools that have Velcro "hook" backing plates.

      I got it at MURRYS auto parts.I',m going to get the w9000 & #9 to try and to remove my fine swirl,circular marks,I think it's the finest i can use,and i only have a rotory[it's black] hope it works,
