What Product to use

i have a White 2004 VY SS Commodore Ute. The paint has heaps of swirl marks everywhere and alot of lite schratches. My idiot girlfriend thought she would wash my car for my birthday and when she realised some of the dirt wasnt coming off she decided to use a kitchen scowra!! it did get rid of the dirt but left these scratches all over my car. What can i use to get my car looking good again and have a mirror finish?? I have tried heaps of waxes but you can still see all the scratches easily. Do i have a clear coat on my car?? I think i may need to cut back the paint but not sure how. i do have a orbital buffer

Yikes!!!! A scouring pad? That sounds like a job for someone with a lot of experience and a rotary buffer....for openers.

First I would find a new girlfriend Just kidding!
Waxes are not going to remove swirls and scratches.
I would repost this in the detailing 101 forum along with some pictures of the areas your concerned about. You should get some good honest answers.

Hi Ronny,

Truth is you're going to have to have the paint machine cleaned with either a dual action polisher or a rotary buffer and possibly both. Your Orbital Buffer will not offer the power you'll need to remove paint which is how you remove swirls and scratches. Since this is your first post, if you come back and are interested in how to go about fixing this problem, we'll post the information. If you don't come back, then we'll assume you figured it out or decided to live with the swirls and scratches.
