scratched windows

Anybody know how to remove fine scratches (looks like swirl marks) on a windshield.. mine are driving me crazy..

Also, will the same stuff work on cleaning my headlights???

This is to be done by HAND, no PC available..

The only product that I have ever read about that has the potential to remove fine scuffs, abrasions and maybe fine scratches is a Glass Polishing Kit by the Eastwood company




I have never tried it before so I cannot vouch for how effective it is or isn't.
