I was wondering how often do you have to remove old wax before applying new wax?

Never. As long as the paint surface is smooth and clean, just apply new coats of wax over the old.
As time goes on, your paint will get swirls, scratches and embedded contaminents. You fix these problems with clay and polishes like #80, #82, #83, etc. These products remove any existing wax and need to be topped off with a new coat or coats of wax. -

exactly. i never remove the old stuff with a wash of say Dawn like other companies say to use.
i just wax over my old stuff and put new stuff in my baby's finish.Comment
