I have a 2004 Oxford White Mach 1. I polish and wax it until 99% of the swirls and small scratches are gone, but they keep coming back, I use the megs sheepskin wash mit to wash it and Im always careful and I use 2 megs watermagnets to dry it. I'm very anal about keeping it clean, its a daily driver and is non garaged. Any suggestions would be helpful.

Re: Micro Scratches keep coming back
ptim; When I started using the water magnet I started getting small spider webbing all over and couldn't understand why. I decided that my problem was with the water magnet. I changed back to soft cotton towels and no more spider webbing. And yes the water magnet was washed after each use and my black suburban which is in the garage more than outside just gathers light dust. Needless to say the suburban is washed once sometimes twice during the week and has Meg's NXT quick detail applied. As of right now I use the very large micro fiber towels to dry the suburban with no problems.

Re: Micro Scratches keep coming back
I unfortunatelyown a 500W Halgen lamp that I use when I detail a car. If you ever want to become anal about micromarring or fine swirlmarks, get you one of those. Over the past 3 months, I've come to experience that any kind of wiping movement, no matter how clean your car or your cloth is, will introduce light swirling. Ever since I've started using the Meguiars products and methods, I've dried my car using the blotting method with water magnet and microfibre which has minimised the reoccurence of swirls. That's just my 2c....

I work under several flourecents and walk the car with my Xenon in hand. Sometimes Im really discouraged by the micromarring I encounter... I have to remind myself that with the lighting Im in the issues Im looking at are magnified 10 fold vs out in the sun.
Im about to add more flourecents too.----------02' 35th Anv. Limited Edition SS----------
