Winter Protection: #26 or #21?

Once the colder months arrive, I hand over the waxing duties to a local detail shop, and my choices are a coat of #26 for $59 or a coat of #21 for $99.

In previous winters I've gone with a coat of #26 about every 4-6 weeks, but this winter I'm curious if I should go with #21 instead? And if so, how often would it need to be done for good protection from the ravages of winter? My car is a daily driver and so it sees a good amount of road salt. I do get it handwashed (at that detail shop) every Saturday, but I still want to make sure I'm fully protecting the paint.

So which of those two choices will offer me the most protection from winters elements?

In my experience, 21 does last longer than 26, but I'm not sure I could agree with the 40.00 difference in the products used. Just my 2 cents.

i think #26 beads for a really long time, but for winter this year, i am going to go #3->20->21 x2->gold class

I used #21 last winter and I found that it lasted quite a while.

As another option, I find I really like #26 with #21 applied over the top.

#21 is my plan for the winter as well.

Both would work effectively, #21 followed by #26.

This winter I'm using either Collinite 476S or Meguiars #16 as my LSP.

$40 is a huge differance, the detailer cant be using more than a few $ of product on the car whatever he uses

If i could only choose between #26 and #21,i would choose #21 without a doubt,easy to use,lasts great,and if you are focused on protection,then i think you can justify the price.Just do 2-3 coats.

I would go with the #21. #20 is good too.

FYI, $39.99 is the price of the large 64 oz. bottle of #21! And a little goes a long way.
