  • Chevy Avalanche exterior trim

I have a 2002 Chevy avalanche and I'm looking for advice on what product to use on the exterior trim (plastic) that will restore the color and not act like a dust magnet. I live inthe high desert of southern cal and wind and dust are an everyday occurance. I'd appreciate any help. JC

I would say clean it with some #39 and then put a plastic conditioner or speed detailer on there and you are good to go.
You left out licking the water off. Oh, wait a minute, that's my cat, not my car. Uh, I mean my cat licks himself dry. I don't lick my cat dry. Or my car. -PC.

Well, I use All Season Dressing on my plastic trim, and it works grea. Doesnt seem to attract any dust for me.

The other good oprion is Hyper Dresing, not sure if that ever gets dusty though.

If your plastic needs a good cleaning, #39 with a soft cloth or soft tooth brush is good before dressing.

Somewhere out on the net there was a write up for using Future Floor polish it is an acrylic product. There can be clouding issues due to trapped moisture, but properly applied the reviewer had great results. Might be worth looking into.

All Season Dressing is the way to go for a lasting dressing and I have not notice excess dust.

I would stick to products designed for automotive use. Just my .02.
