if i use #7 as a topper for a car show, how long will it last before it evaporates in the summer sun? someone in another forum says it should last around 3 hours before dissipating. 3 hours is too short, was hoping at least the whole day. any comments, thanks.

Trust me, Meguiar's and #7 Show Car Glaze wouldn't have been around for this long if they both failed to live up to high expectations.Jeff

Yes, #7 can, and normaly would be topped with a wax.
What is being discussed is that some people like the look of #7 on top, or on its own, when they are showing off a show car.
However, #7 is not a protective layer, and will wear off very quickly if exposed to any sort of weather, like rain. That is why it is always topped with a wax by people who use it on the regular cars.2017 Subaru WRX Premium - WR Blue

M07 Show Car Glaze has been around for over 70 years and incredibly popular with real car guys who have used it to showcase their car's paint. That's longer than most any other product some anonymous person on some other forum can name.
Just goes to show anyone can post anything on a discussion forum. Best thing to do is to remember the name of the person that posted this and then in the future give everything they post all the respect it deserves.
M07 is not a protection product so therefor it was never formulated to offer lasting protection, it's a beauty product to make paint look glossy, reflective, rich in color and even wet. Keep in mind it's in the Professional Line and also formulated to be used on fresh paint, another feature that you can't find in most other product lines as they're not as extensive as Meguiar's considering our roots and our history has been manufacturing products for the Professional side of this industry, i.e. car manufactures and the re-finishing industry.

I used #7 topped with NXT then #26. I left it in the garage for awhile and then it sat outside for 2 weeks before I could wash it. It looked better than it ever has after I washed it and it still had that "just waxed" feel to it.Current Jeep: 2004 Jeep Liberty with stuff

thanks for the replies. that's why i figured it best to ask this question here, since it is a meguiars product. i thought the 3 hour span was incorrect even in the blazing heat.
