  • #66 and Water Spots

I have used #66 for a few months now in my business - but I have yet to try it out on the removal of water spots. I had a client call me today about removing some nasty sprinkler work.

I saw the clients car earlier this evening, and it looks like mostly type-1 water spotting, but there might be some etching as well.

Has anybody out there gone at water spots with #66? I am just curious if I am going to get enough action with #66 - if not, it will be #80.

Of course, all will be applied by PC.

    Thanks in advance...hopefully!

Just a few days ago I buffed out a yellow Xterra with some pretty good water spots. I did a test spot with #66 on an 8006 pad on the hood and it didn't do a whole lot. Next step up was #80 on an 8006 and it took care of the water spots after 1 pass. But honestly, you will probably just have to do a test spot to see.

I basically figured I would have to use #80 or #83 - but I figured I would ask anyway.

I'll try the #66, you never know I guess.

      Thanks for the heads-up.
