  • 8006 & #80 after 1 use

I have used this pad one time with #80
and a residue was left around the edge of the pad.

Can I use this pad again in this condition (with #80)or do I need to clean it first

At the very least I would use a brush and take off the dried surface residue from the pad.

What I normally do with mine is to spray some APC on them then soak in a bucket of soapy water for maybe 15 minutes, then rinse thoroughly and allow to dry overnight. Heck, I've even thrown 'em in the washing machine and then the dryer for a short time. I know Meguiar's does not recommend this process, but I've not had a bit of trouble doing this.

Using a fingernail brush, APC, and some warm soapy water will take care of that pretty quick. Fingernail brushes can be found just about anywhere. They look like a big toothbrush head usually with a small handle. And yes, I would clean it before using it again.

I use a similar process on cleaning my pads..... I like to wash mine after each use and like mentioned above its not recommended by Meguiars to wash them but many do.

you should clean the pad first, there is lots of residue of the polish and a "full" pad doesnt work like a fresh one will do.

if it needs to be cleaned quickly, i use a brush and some soapy water, after that i let them dry or put them on the machine while holding a towel on it to get the rest out of it.

sometimes i just put them in the washing machine (even if meguiars doesnt recommend it) but the pads are completly clean after that and they still have the velcro after many many washes
