  • #26 Paste VS GC Paste

I dont have a can of GC in my arsenal... some may call me crazy for that. I do have a can of #26 that Im absolutely in love with right now which has held me off from getting a can of GC.

Do I really need to add a can of GC to my stash if Im currently pleased with #26? Which PASTE is the better choice? For these products Im refering to pastes only.

    Discuss....

    Thank you!

Its personal choice really, its what YOU like.

I used GC paste for awhile and then one day i picked up a can of #26. Lets just say i gave my brother all my GC cans, #26 for life now.

    I use only pastes.

#26 is way better than gold class .

I like both. But on my car I tend to like GC better, as it has more of a reflective, glossy look to it, which I like on the metallic color. For some colors I would prefer #26 as it gives a nice deep, dark and warmer, sorta look The difference is subtle though...

So to answer you question - no you don't need a can of GC, but you WAN'T it

For me #26 is easier to work with , it looks better and lasts longer than gold class.

Keep in mind that #26 is pure wax, GC is polish+wax. So, if you use #7 or DC2 polish then #26, I find it gives the best (deepest and slightly longer lasting) result - and that includes a few subsequent #26 wax-only sessions.

But after awhile the polish oils start to evaporate, and you need to repeat the polish+wax (every spring and fall for me), else just use GC everytime (since it contains both).

Hence I use GC every month or so on the family beater, but use #7+#26 on my prize "baby".

              Thanks for the input guys!

I think Ill stick to my #26 unless I find a killer deal on a can of GC paste.
