I have recently heard a lot of talk from a rival manufacturer about 'migratory' silicones, and how every manufacturer other than this rival, uses them in every wax formulation, natural and synthetic. They also claim that 'migratory silicones' are harmful and limit the durability of a product, can anyone shed some light on this subject,Mike?

The subject of silicones and marketing myths comes up occasionally. I don't know if it covers your question directly but here's a thread on the subject: Meguiar's Online > Information Station > Misinformation > The good and the bad types of silicone.

"Not at all. They could be carried." Like this myth about all silicones being the worst thing that could possibly happen to the detailing world gets carried around the Internet. Sure, silicone can be bad, but using scare tactics and only partial truths is not good marketing if you ask me.
