  • Clay Difference

I tried searching the forums for this, but could not find any info.

What is the difference between the clay in the consumer kits and the professional detailing clays?

What does mild and agresssive mean?

oh good question, I was wondering the same thing.
You left out licking the water off. Oh, wait a minute, that's my cat, not my car. Uh, I mean my cat licks himself dry. I don't lick my cat dry. Or my car. -PC.

Here's a link to a thread created by Tim Larson that details the different clay bars...

        MIke

I just ordered some mild "blue" clay
is it safe to use on a new car?
I do plan on polishing after with #80 to remove some hard water spots.

        Thanks in advance

Yup, you're ok. Just use plenty of lube as always, and clay paint first, then glass/trim, then wheels, then mufflers/tips.
