Could anyone compare cleaning power of these applicators when they are wet with paint care products?

Though Meguiars E-Store recommends microfiber covered foam applicator (Even Coat Applicator), it seemed to glide over the stains too well when I used it last time with M09 - it might have been due to the the wind drying the product too quickly -.

We're not sure of any formal studies proving the differences in aggressiveness between straight foam and cloth material covered foam.

Meguiar's teaches our microfiber applicators are gentle to paint.
