  • 9006 pad losing velcro backing?

I've used it probably 3 times, and the velcro backing is starting to peel off.

    is this typical?

No. We go through hundreds of all of our pads every year in our Training Garage and we don't have this problem, it's either a quality issue for this pad or a technique issue causing the problem.

Call Customer Care and tell them what you've experienced and cite this thread, they'll take care of you.

I have pads that are five years old and the velcro performs just as well as the day that I took it out of the package.

How do you all get your pads off? Just pull them off or stick your fingers between the backing plate and velcro?

I would think this would be the leading cause of pad failure. I have yet to have a pad and the velcro come apart on me but that is probabily due to the carfull removal of the pad.
You left out licking the water off. Oh, wait a minute, that's my cat, not my car. Uh, I mean my cat licks himself dry. I don't lick my cat dry. Or my car. -PC.

Grab the pad on one side firmly and pull it away from the backing plate until you get some separation, then pull the pad off adjacent to the backing plate, not straight off the backing plate, this will help reduce the pull or shear strength between the Velcro and the foam.
