  • NXT liquid wax or #21 first?

Over the last 2 weeks I detailed both of my cars. Last week I did my 06 black honda pilot. This week I did my "nightshade gray", which looks like a grayish, bluish black color, 95 honda accord. The accord had lots of scratches and swirls.

When I got to the waxing stage, when I did the pilot I first applied #21, followed by NXT. When I did the Accord, I did NXT followed by #21.

Which is the correct order to apply these, or does it really matter?

Here's the order I did everything:
    Pilot (by hand) --

    NXT wash
    clay
    DC#1
    DC#2
    Wax with #21
    Wax with NXT

    Accord (with G-100 I just received) --

    NXT wash
    clay
    #83
    #80
    Wax with NXT
    Wax with #21

In both cases I waited about 15 hours before the 2nd coat of wax

  • #2
Well, 2hotford (Tim) gets great results with 2 coats of #21 topped with Nxt.

Personaly, I'm just on 2 coats of #21 anymore.
