  • dealer decal removal

I was wondering if anyone on this forum has a method to remove the stupid factory decals that come plastered all over new motorcycles . I don't want to damage the paint before i have a chance to wax it and need some help. Has anyone on this forum dealt with this before ?Does meguires sell a product that will remove them safely?
    Thanks

Mine was a piece of plastic with some really, REALLY sticky **** on it. Its summer, so it was hot out. I just got a hold of it and pulled the thing off. I used rubbing Alcohol to get the sticky stuff left over off, and then waxed it.

I used a plastic razor blade I purchased from ADS and some DC#1 to remove any residue. Came off w/o a problem and the DC#1 cleaned it up very nicely.

If you don't have plastic razor blades, you can use a wooden popsicle stick. The round edges should work fine w/o damaging any paint since the wood is kind of soft anyway.
