  • Anyone use Oxyclean on MFs?

My wife has a tub of this stuff sitting here... and found myself scratching my head looking at it last time I washed my MFs.

    Is it ok?

Mix with my current detergent? By itself?

    THANKS!

it can't harm your fabric... BUT!!! it's a powder so there is the dnager of not all granules dissolving and becoming embedded in the cloth thus causing scratches.

Kind of extreme but maybe dissolve it first in hot water and run the solution through a coffee filter to be sure.

I have not used the oxyclean powder but the liquid works great.

I used it many times on my MF towels and it worked really well. I usually spray some on the towels, let them sit for a few minutes and then I wash them.

Awesome... I use hot water when I wash my MFs so Ill run the water, then add the Oxyclean, let it disolve first before putting my towels in.

Should I still use my regular detergent? Or just the Oxyclean?

          Thanks guys!

fill it up with hot water, then add the oxyclean

let it dissolve for 15 to 20 minutes before adding the MF

I usually throw in a little woolite with mine

I use Tide as a detergent when I wash my MFs and it works fine so I imagine any detergent should do the job. I would just spray the stains on your MF towels with the OxyClean, then dump them in the washing machine, add whichever detergent you have available and wash away.
