ColorX, How Long does it Last on the Car? Protection?

Compared to NXT LiquidWax, How long does ColorX last on the finish of the car.....

if only using ColorX, is it required to use a last step topping on the ColorX (ie....GoldClass wax, NXT LiquidWax.....)

does ColorX have protection properties for the cars paint finish, or is the Last step really required over the ColorX ?????

1. Nxt is the most durable wax as far as I have heard according to the Meguiars scientist people. So ColorX isnt quite as long. I would say longer than DC#3, but perhaps not quite as long as the Gold Class/Nxt/#21.

2. No, topping is not required. Many of us do top ColorX or other cleaner/waxes, as Meguiars recomends 2 coats of wax, so ColorX + Wax gives that nice and easily. And I think Nxt or #21 also look a bit better than ColorX alone. But no, it is not required, just often done.

3. ColorX has cleaners, polishes, and waxes in it, all in one. So if that is all you have time to use, or family is bothering you to do their vehicles and that is all you want to do, you will be ok.
