  • cement removal

hey whats up everyone, this is gonna be one hell of a first post but does anyone know how to go about removing cement from paint. i was asked to detail a work truck, a 2000 durango, and he parked it in front of where he works and when they hosed down the truck they got some drips on his roof and doors. by the way its his company so "make the owner pay for it" isn't gonna cut it here. if the only option is to repaint then so be it, but its a last resort so any feedback would be greatly appreciated

If they are pretty small, sometimes you can "pop" them off with a plastic putty knife, then follow up with a paint cleaner.

The vinegar should work. I did a 50/50 dilution of vinegar to water in a spray bottle. Then I sprayed the cement and let it set in. Sprayed again, let it sit, etc. I did this about 5 times. Then with a steady steam of water on the cement I was able to remove it with my finger. The stream of water helped it float off the car and hopefully not scratch it.
