Do you guys use the brass bruch for white letters. I have some stiff nylon and that didnt do the trick. I usually use the brass but the other day I really had to scrub some tires and saw white running off. Occassionally I get a brown reside left over. Any advice

Well, I have used brillo pads on whitewalls with good sucess. You could proably use a good degreaser/apc/+ then brillo pads to do a good job.
I always used the brillo alone, with no degreaser and it worked good. Now I know better, but no whitewalls around.2017 Subaru WRX Premium - WR Blue

I think I read that the brown stuff on the tire is a term called "blooming". Where a checmical is released by the tire. I dont think you can get rid of it for good. You can clean the tire but it will come back. You left out licking the water off. Oh, wait a minute, that's my cat, not my car. Uh, I mean my cat licks himself dry. I don't lick my cat dry. Or my car. -PC.

I use a nylon brush, but I have sonce day one. If you absolutely can't get it off, you can by a white grease pen at a local auto parts store that is made for highlighting white letter tires. It will come off when you wash again, but after time it will help the brown condition.2005 GMC Sierra-Black(Oh Yeah it's Black)
