I have used the car wash soap/water solution for claying for a while now using the Meguiar's blue detailing clay and have had no problems whatsoever with it falling apart.

I save my QD for QD'ing!

      Re: Clay bar which lubricant?

i must confess that i had to change my clay brand because of the need of a QD as a lube.. here in brazil we do not have something like last touch, and buying two or three quick detailers (473ml bottle) was a tad expensive. now i use bilt hamber clay wich uses only water as a lube.
