  • What is a PC?

I see this a lot on these forums. I'm guessing it is some type of buffer. What does PC stand for? Thanks.

PC is short for Porter Cable. A brand of polisher in the US

Okay, thanks. I thought it may have been Porter Cable. Is it a specific model that everybody likes?

Here on the Meguiars forum, the Meguiars G-100 is the version that is recommended because it's the Meguiars branded version from PC, but I've seen other people recommend PC models 7424 or 7336.

Plus the Meguiar's version of the PC has a lifetime warranty. I'm not sure about the standard PC one.

The big question is..........If I brought one online and got it shipped to Australia would it work on our power voltage/watts?

I'm asking this because I like the lifetime warranty but Meguiars Australia doesn't and wont get one for me.

The PC runs on 110V instead of the 240V, but you could get it to run with an inverter .

I stand corrected, but doesn't the lifetime warranty only apply to US residents? I know that if I import electrical goods into South Africa, the warranty falls away.
