  • Places the PC cant reach

I was just thinking I have an 03 T/A to do next week and I know it was posted a million times but cant find it. What do you guys use by hand in the hard to reach places. I have some one step polish, similar to 66, and works well by hand. It will get me by for now. I think it only fills scratches though.

Under the spoiler and areas like that. From what I understand you cant tilt the pc like the rotary in those tight spots?

You can always rub in some #80 or #9 etc. It wont remove defects like the G-100 will, but will get the basic cleaning and polishing accomplished. And waxing tough spots by hand.

Keeping a tube of ScratchX on hand is good for removing defects by hand in tough areas.

Thats what I wasnt sure about with 80. DO you rub until it breaks down. I also have a trailblazer to do and places like in the license plate.

I used to polish the pillars and stuff by rotary but I have to see how g100 will work.

Switching products is tough after having a system but the end result is worth it. Thanks guys.

If you're trying to remove defects in these areas that cannot be reached by machine, then best results will come when you use the correct product for the job. ScratchX is a hand applied scratch remover and should be used for these hard to reach areas.

"T/A" as in Trans-Am? The last year of the F-bodies was 2002.

Thats what it is then. Last year of production. I thought 03 was. Been that long already.

This one is babied and driven only a few times a year so it had minor swirling. I have to stock up on those items then.

So the scratch x is ideal to do say underneath the spoiler, actually the whole deck lid and then #5 etc. over that. Does scratcg x have diminishing abrasives also.

Actually I do pretty well using the PC like that. Sometimes I'll use a larger-than-normal pad and let the part that overhangs the backing plate slip in to do the work. And using the edges (and/or even the back side of pads that'll allow it) is infinitely safer with the PC than with the rotary.

Yes it does. So you have to work the product into the paint untill those abrasives break down.
You left out licking the water off. Oh, wait a minute, that's my cat, not my car. Uh, I mean my cat licks himself dry. I don't lick my cat dry. Or my car. -PC.
