  • Looking for some pro products

I figured I would post this message here instead of in the pro forum. Anyways, I have been using Quik Detailer, Hot Rims Wheel Cleaner, and Endurance Tire Dressing for quite some time. I like all three of these products, but with four cars in the family to work on, I go through them very quickly! Especially the Quick Detailer when claying. I am in the process of putting together an order at ADS and am looking for some replacements from the pro line for these three products.

For the tire gel replacement, I think I will go with a gallon of hyper dressing and the Meguiars spray bottle. What is the best ratio to dilute this product so the shine is similar to that of the Endurance High Gloss? Should I spray it onto a clean tire directly and let it sit, spray it on and wipe it, or spray it on a foam applicator?

I'm not sure what would be a good replacement for the Hot Rims Wheel Cleaner and the Quik Detailer. I think it would be the Wheel Brightener and the Last Touch Spray Detailer respectively. Any suggestions is greatly appreciated!

I really like HyperDressing and I dilute it 2:1 for a reasonably high gloss finish on my tires and exterior trim. The more you dilute it the less gloss you get, by the way. I've never used Endurance High Gloss so I can't directly the compare the two but you could always dilute HD at 1:1 first and see if that's too glossy or doesn't give you the "mileage" you want out of the product and then dilute further if you prefer.

Otherwise, I think your Wheel Brightener and the Last Touch Spray Detailer choices are good ones.

You might think of All Season Dressing for your tires.... I have both All Season Dressing and Hyper Dressing the ASD is going to last longer(similar to Endurance) on your tires and trim. But if you do go with Hyper Dressing you can customize it to to the look you prefer I like 3:1 seems to look good everywhere with that ratio.

      All Season Dressing

I also agree Last Touch is going to be your best bet, nice thing about LT is you can dilute it when claying so its very economical. Just remember the surface must be cool before using LT, seems to be a little more temperamental over Meguiars other QD'ers.

As for the Wheel Brightener I have not used it but seems to me I read somewhere on MOL that WB is not something you need to use during every wash just when you have a build up of grime.

Thanks for the replies. Well I definitely want something that is going to last as long as the endurance gel and I would prefer that it is just as glossy. Is the All Season Dressing capable of this for my tires? With the Last Touch, what is the correct dilution for claying? Also, I read on some other threads that some people say it may streak and can be more difficult to use when compared with Quik Detailer. Have you experienced this? Finally, if the Wheel Brightener is not designed to be used during every wash, then it is not for me. Currently I use the Hot Rims and spray it liberally into the wheel being careful not to get it on the rotor or brake parts. I then use the Ultra Safe Wheel Spoke Brush to throughly scrub it. Afterwards, I clean the face of the wheel with extra car wash soap, a sponge, and a brush. It seems to work fine for me, but I go through the Hot Rims like water. Maybe an all-purpose cleaner at the correct dulution will do the trick as well.

If you want to keep using All Wheel Cleaner, I found my local autozone is selling it at 3.99 if you buy two. It is a good price to stock up on if this deal is in your area. I picked up the four bottles that they had.

I have seen that Wheel Brightener is not the best choice for aluminum wheels.

As for the Last touch you Mix it 1:1 and yes it will streak. Remember a little goes a long ways, apply to a cool surface and it seems to work best on a fairly fresh coat of wax. IMO it gives the best look out of Meguiars QD'ers.

As for the Wheel Brightner read this post: http://meguiarsonline.com/forums/sho...heel+Brightner - There is some helpful info in there I can't find the exact thread I was thinking of, either way there is some helpful info in that link.
