  • velcro came off 8006 pad

I need anyone who has had an issue with their velcro backing seperating or totally coming off their Meguiars 7006/8006/9006 pads to please recommend an adhesive product that I can get to reattach it back on. On one of my 8006 pads the backing came off about 1/2 way during one of my deatails. I do not know what type of adhesive will work on foam without melting it or breaking down due to heat buildup once it is put back on the PC.

I do not know why it came off. I do not use the PC on anything higher than 5 and they are hand washed and air dried but regardless it came off so any help is appreciated. Thanks....

I used a 3M adhesive that I purchased at a craft store, works great. I will find the name out for you after I get off my shift tomorrow morning. 100 plus here and high humidity and hopefully no working fires tonight !

hoping for no fires here as well. We've had some really severe thunderstorms come through here in the last 2 weeks and had some pretty intense fires from lightning. We had a 3 story just last week (5000 sq ft home) fully involved when we arrived on scene.....We had a 3 alarm building fire 2 weeks ago (uniform company) I was a tired arce to say the least! BY the way LA stands for lower Alabama not Los Angeles.
Thanks for any info you can give me on the adhesive....hope your shift goes well........

Hey Joe and LA-- I know its OT, but thanks for what you guys do. Whatever you are paid, its not enough.

And LA--since we have met in Tampa at the Roadshow, I hope I can josh you by saying your pad separation is probably due to POOR TECHNIQUE!

HAAAHAAAAHAAAA!!!!!! yep it's GOTTA BE THE TECHNIQUE! UGOTME.................

Thanks for the comment on what we do. It doesn't pay near what it deserves but the rewards come in other ways. Hope all is well with you. I may be investing it the products you referred me too. I like what I have seen in them from the website.
