I'll just hit some quick points... Some have probably already been answered
#7 vs DC2- #7 using higher quality parts and thus is a higher quality product. However, it was orginally forumlated for single stage paints. I use DC2 on lighter colored clearcoats (because I cannot tell any difference) and #7 on single stage and very dark colors (black, maroon, navy blue, ect).
DC2 is also much easier to apply and remove, while #7 can be trickier. If #7 was 100% in apperance I would rate DC2 at 90-90% in apperance. The difference is very slight. However in application, if DC2 resulted in a 100% ease of use than #7 would be 70% in ease of use.
#26 is a higher end DC3, the same as #7 is a small step up from DC2. I personally believe that #26 provides a better shine, better durabilty, and is as easy to use.
You can layer your 26 or DC2 on top of the NXT Tech Wax, because the Tech Wax is actually a sealent and is 100% synthetic. Try them all and see what you like best.
The backing plate will work, presumably. What size is it? Meg's pads are only 6.5 inches, and thus need about a 5 inch backing plate. Anything bigger and you may start running into to problems.
