  • Took car to bodyshop for estimate

Had some estimates to repaint this hood and nose. Bids were 300-500 dollars. About right, too much? I have no clue

Sounds like a fair deal to me. I had to have a bumper cover repainted on a Grand Am once and it was $600.

Thanks. rest of car is in great shape. Hood has CC failure and nose is chipped from being a road warrior.
Looked for a used hood but can not find a black one. Every other color though...

        $

i wish mine was 3-500 to fix. I bottemed out pretty bad cpl years ago, and didn't think much of it, then my friend noticed my radiator was pushed back a little, and looked through the grill and the frame was pushed up on the right side. I was wondering why lil dents were popping from the inside of my hood, it was because it was hitting the radiator. Well anyway i took it to the bodyshop, he looked at it, gave me estimate....$1885 . I was like wooooooah, this is a 93 honda, its only worth $3100. So he said ok i'll just readjust the frame and reaim the headlights, still came to $950. Ugh. I'm waiting on it

Price sounds correct. That is about what I paid a year ago when I had to have the nose of my Vette resprayed following a collision with a bucket coming out of a truck bed on the freeway.
