  • High Pressure washes and rotary waxing

okay i've heard the debate before about how its so much better to wax your car by hand, and i recently went to buffing. Can someone tell me if using NXT Tech wax would be better doing by hand or buffer and if it really matters by hand or buffer? and my second newbie question is if i wash my car everytime with a high pressure hose would that strip the wax off of my car?? or should i go back to washing by hand to be safe

Re: High Pressure washes and rotary waxing

My preference is to apply NXT Tech Wax by PC (machine).

High Pressure hose as in Pressure Washer or normal hose on high pressure?

The Pressure Washer I use uses a combination of compressed air and water and it's thus very gentle on my paint.

I use NXT via PC. It's a hell of a lot easier/ faster and I can apply a more even thin coat vs. by hand.

yeah i was talking about the compressed air and water hose. that wouldn't take the wax off because of how strong it is??

Depends on how much pressure and how close to the paint. My pressure washer is soft as cotton from a few feet away. Put the tip inches near anything and it will strip it right off.
