  • Help with ss paint

Hi I recently worked on a 1980's Toyota Corolla. It has red ss paint. These were my steps

    Wash
    clay
    #83 pc 8006
    #80 pc 8006
    #7 hand
#20 pc 8006 removed with GC bonet over 7006
#26 pc 8006 removed with GC bonet over 7006

The conditions outside were warm (100 degrees) the car was fully under a ezup shade and 20% humidity. While appling the #83 on the hood I came to a spot on the nose of the hood where the pad would not move unless there was no pressure applied(just the weight of the pc). I wasnt sure if I had to much product on the pad so I went ahead and washed the pad in a bucket of water and spun it dry. I then applied a fine mist of QD and applied a new bead of product around the edge of the pad. Placed it on same spot of the hood where I was having trouble turned it on (speed 5) and spread my product around in 11/2 by 11/2 foot square. I the again applied pressure to the head of the pc and the pad would still not rotate. I felt I had the pc level but the nose of the hood did slant down a bit, but no mater what I did it would not rotate. I even tried speed 6 and still no luck. This only happened on this spot and one other spot on a fender. Any suggestions or advice? Is it due to the ss stage paint or operator error?
