  • Going to make the plunge for the G100

I have been reading up on the threads here for the G100 and decided to get one from ADS along with some other products that i needed...

I am going to experiment on my 92 Chevy Lumina ( commuter car) before i take it to my 04 Mazda 6... The Luminas paint has definitely faded and has some swirls, scratches that come along with a 15 yr old car... I think i have waxed it once the past 5 years i have owned it, started to neglect it once i got my new ride....the mazda has some swirls i am looking to take out....

My usual process is as follows ( i always wash wheels & tires first):

    1. wash
    2. clay
    3. wash again after claying & dry
    4. paint cleaner
    5. polish
    6. 2 coats of wax

    My order for ADS:

    Pkg # 1 DA Polisher
    #80
    #83
    2 W8006 ( 1 each for #80, #83)
    2 W9006 ( 1 for each coat of wax)
2 W7006 ( 1 to remove each coat of wax)
2 pack of DA polisher Bonnets

other items that i ran out of:
    NXT glass cleaner
    NXT car wash soap
    Smooth surface clay kit
Megs Leather cleaner & conditioner-12oz sampler
    versa angle wide body brush

Items i will be trying for the first time:

APC Plus - 32oz sampler (going to try it on my tires)
All season dressing - 32oz sampler
    Plastx
Megs Supreme shine MF towel ( figured this would be my last step in my detail process, go around the whole car)

    anything else i should consider??

    Meg's Products i currently have:

Shine as you dry quick wax
    scratch x
    Liquid tech wax
    Paste tech wax
    Deep crystal polish
    tech protect interior protectant

    products that are non-megs:

gel tire shine (once this is gone i am switching over to Megs)
wheel cleaner ( i buy a cheap one because i use alot w/ the brake dust on the mazda)

do you guys think i should also get # 21 or stick with what i have for now until it is gone?? I usually do 2 coats of wax, 1st i use the paste then i follow that with the liquid....

Also what is the last touch spray detailer for??

thanks and sorry for the long post, just want to do things right....

You only need 1 7006 pad. The bonnets will keep it clean and dry (just dont turn the bonnet over). I would get a spare 8 or 9 006 pad isntead, and maybe extra bonnets.

I like #21, but Nxt will be fine until you run out of it.

Make sure yo uorder a 3-pack of Supreme Shines if they are on sale still. ( I would order a 3-pack of Water magnets as well if you dont have them).

The Last touch is like a Quick Detailer. Can be used for claying, removing bird ****, dust, etc.

    Hope that gets you started..

Oops. I thought links to ADS were allowed. It won't let me edit it though..... Sorry.

Well, in case the link gets removed, the Water Magnets are under the "Microfiber Products", its called Microfiber Water Magnet on the site.

yeah sounds like a sweet order.

before i made the plunge i thought doing it by hand was the way so that this way you could say it was your sweat and hard work that made the car like SWEET ***!!!

BUT THEN i got a G/100 and all that thinking went straight out the window and is never coming back.

                    GOODLUCK AND HAVE FUN!!!
