I have washed and clayed my PT, but there are tiny pinpoint spots on the car. It is a vanilla color and the spots are mostly orange (rust?) and a few black. There are very few, and very tiny, but what will remove the spots? Thanks!

Can you feel the spots with your finger? If you cannot feel them with your fingers then it may just be spots of tree sap that has stuck to your paint. You described it as looking like rust which is what it usually looks like on my car which also happens to be white. Try to clay those spots again, however you need to really work in the clay well. Make sure you lubricate the surface enough.
Give it a try and let us know how it turns out.

I believe what is on your car is called "rail dust." Minute pieces of nasties fly up from your discs, attach themselves to the body & then oxidize. The term rail dust comes from the use of freight cars to transport vehicles. Steel wheels on steel rails = rail dust. Having said that, any microscopic pieces of metal landing on your car will rust. I had literally hundreds if not thousands on my Honda. Thanks to a number of readers I used Megs. clay & loads of lubricant. It took time but it got rid of them.

Thanks! I will clay the spots again and maybe again, later today when the car is in the shade again. I can't feel the spots. It surprised me how easy the clay was to use and what a difference it made. I could really feel where I had clayed and not clayed.
After the clay, if I have made the right choice, I plan to use Deep Crystal Paint Cleaner, step 1.
