  • YAY!!! Finally Got My Torque Thrust 2 Rims, and Detail!

Well my new rims FINALLY arrived after a months wait, yesturday.

I'm very pleased with the look that it gave the car.

All I did for the detail was:

    Exterior:

    Deep Crystal 1&2
    NXT X 1
Hot Shine On Tires and Wells
    Mothers Aluminum Polish on Wheels

    Interior:

    NXT Interior Spray
    Mothers Leather Care.

    Enjoy.

    Kev.

      Swweeeeeeet!!!!!

Reminds me of my '01! Still nothing beats looks of a black WS6! I like the wheels too, much better than factory, which are OK. Unless those are chrome (don't think they are), you've got a lot of polishing ahead to maintain that look.

The NXT Metal Polysh works great on chrome BTW. It seems to be very long lasting on my goats, chrome tail pipes, and they are subject to a lot of heat. It would probably do very well on those wheels too.

Long live the LS1 (and LS2!).

Gotta go wash my goat now. This puts me in the OCD mood!

        Nice T/A.

Anything done to it besides the wheels and tires?

              Let me try that again:

Very nice. Black is beautiful for that 5 minutes after you get done waxing. LOL

Looks great! I am not a fan of chrome but its hard to beat a chrome wheel on a black vehicle!

A good car body duster (like the one from Meguiars) and a good QD will go a long way toward keeping that black looking great every day. My favorite QDs are Last Touch and NXT Speed Detailer. Contrary to popular belief, a properly used car duster will not scratch or swirl paint. The car duster can only be used on light to moderate dust. Once it rains the car duster cannot be used. I use the duster and follow it with a QD every day that it doesn't rain after my car wash. Once it rains, I don't QD until after my next car wash.

The paint on the RamAir hood is very soft and scratches if you just look at it. But I have never scratched it with a body duster and QD session.

What brand of duster? I use a California Duster on my truck.

CCD is fine, I've used it for years. I'm using the Oxo now. And the Meguiars Car Duster has received very good reviews. Some who have used the others said they like it the best. You should be able to find some reviews of it in the 2005 Accessories section.

Black is worth the maintenance, it's my favorite color. I have a blue car now. The black on the GTO is metallic. I wanted non metallic black or Impulse Blue. Plus black interior is too hot in summer here! I special ordered my WS6 with the tan interior.
