how harsh is vinegar on paint

i used 50/50 distilled vinegar/water to remove some water spots from my car

i put it in a spray bottle.. sprayed it on and let sit about 5 minutes while working it with a mf applicator.. washed and rinsed again..

spots gone..

but im wondering how bad is vinegar for paint?
did my quick wash and rinse remove all of it??
how stubborn is vinegar?

I've done this before and just followed with a quick Gold Class washing of the area and then reapplied a coat of wax. I wouldn't worry about it.
