washing car freguency

Hi, I was wondering if my car has not been driven too much and is still pretty clean even after 2 months, would you still recommend washing it just for the sake of waxing it?
I mean, you can keep your car pretty clean if you continually quick detail it which I do. Every time there is some dirt on the paint I will clean it off, so I can go months without needing a wash, as far as the looks are concerned, but does the wax need to be reapplied to continue to protect the paint?

2 months in between washes is too long a time for us here (we simply cant wait that long).

As long as you use a two bucket method, and ensure maximum protection against micromarring, you can wash as many times as you want and wax whenever you want.

My motorcycle gets washed and polished every weekend (cause my 4 and 3 year olds love playing on it) before I head to the rifle and pistol range and my wifes car gets washed at least once a month.

I was my car every second day - it does do quite a mileage though, and gets covered in bugs in ther summer and road film in the winter, and I just can't stand seeing it wth a spec of dirt on it!! :lol:

I wash 2-3 times a month. But, I highly doubt anyone here can't wait 8 weeks for a wash.

8 WEEKS?!

I feel like I'm being mean to my car if I can't wash it once every weekend, and it gets a "QD touch up" at least twice throughout the work week. Sometimes it might not look dirty to me.....but who knows what's on the car that I may not be able to actually SEE, ya know? Plus, I just enjoy doing it (so far!).
