I had mentioned in another thread about using All-Season Dressing on plastic in an engine compartment.
As gbackus pointed out, and I checked the MSDS, the flashpoint for All-Season Dressing is fairly low comapred to temperatures in the compartment, about 180 degress F.
My question is does the flashpoint refer to ASD still in the jug before application, during application, or is this for after it is applied/dried?
Its never blown up on me before, but I wouldnt want to take the risk, or recomend anyone else to if its not ok.
The Hyper-Dressing Flash Point is much higher, 420 deg F, and in theory safer for the engine comparment if the Flash Point still applies after application.
