Wax on glass?

Anyone use wax on their glass to protect againts spots? I've read it in other forums, one of the products was ColorX, is it a good idea?
by accident I put a little of NXT on glass, wiped it off and it was smooth but didn't go any further
I have many spots all over so I'll have to get rid of them first but I need some protection afterwards , not rainx.

i use nxt wax on my glass whenever i wax my car it works great and makes the glass look brand new.About the stains i dont know if nxt will remove them but ive herd but have never tried it.
eagle one mag and aluminum polish will clean the glass and remove stains.but if you try this test in a very small area.

I've tried many products, it's only a year old car, you can't see them (spots) unless I'm drying the windows after a car wash or when it's raining I see it them on the front windshield as the wipers go over them, then they disappear until the next wipe.
Yesterday I used a glass polish,we'll see if it worked, next I'll try vinegar and then a hammer

ever hear the myth of wax causing windows to fog up? I was always told that, but I put wax on them all the time with no fogging issues so I always marked that up to being as old wives tale.

I have wondered about wax on glass my self,think I will try it.For tough spots on windows I use rain x glass-care 2000 works great but since it is a cleaning compound should only be used when other methods fail.Bought mine at Wal-mart.Have fun.

I do use rain x, and I love it. one of the few non megs products I use. I've never had a problem with rain x. I only use wax on windows to help "shine up" the glass. not really to clean or tto help with weather.

I too use rainx, Sure wish I could find some more rainx-Glass care 2000! Works great on getting the window clean and ready for rainx.

Anyone use a PC on their windows?

Have you tried clay? I've used clay for years to remove the road film that you describe.

is glass care their cleaner? never heard of it before. do you still have to apply reg rain x after?
also use the pc when I do use the wax. no problems. low speed under 3, and watch the molding.

Yes it is made by rain x and you will need to reapply rain x

Its now called glass polish, same thing as Glass Care 2000. The stuff is great! Very hard to find but it works! Its just a cleaner no rainxX in it.
