  • Stained jacket

I wasn't sure where to put this.

I got some Gold Class Tire Endurance dressing on a jacket of mine. I washed it right away, but there's still a stain on it.

I haven't tried a spot cleaner on it yet, when I get home from work I will. Are there any other things I can try to use? Or is this a lost cause?

    Any help would be appreciated

    Thanks

Good question, we have no idea how to remove it. Try calling Customer Care?

Try oxi-clean maybe. When I got #80 (and tire gel for that matter!) on my jeans, I either washed them with a few scoops of oxi-clean, or soaked them in oxi-clean and water then washed them.

wow I forgot about this post until I got an e-mail telling me somebody responded.

Anyways, I got the stain out. I tried steaming it out, using stain removers etc...
but the thing that worked best was baby powder. You sprinkle it over the stain, remove the excess and leave it overnight or 12 hrs (I had left mine over 24hrs). Try to remove any more excess and then wash it. Worked like a charm.

What material was the jacket made of? Where did you hear about the baby powder method, and do you think it would work on interiors?

I got some Endurance gel on my Wet-Okole seat covers. I used the Wet-okole soap that I bought to clean the covers with, and it brought most of it out. I need to do it again, but Ive just not had the time.

You could try some joy on a wash-cloth to see if that does anything.

                Re: Stained jacket

the jacket was nylon. My girlfriend looked it up for me. Some website with a list of house hold items to remove things.

I'm not sure if it'll work on the interior. You can always. I'm sure it won't harm it. It's only powder. Just make sure you remove as much as possible before you wash it.

                  Re: Stained jacket

Use Dawn dishwashing detergent to pre-treat any oil based stain on clothing It works wonders. Throw it in the washing machine as usual and most, if not all the stain should be removed. I don't know how effective it will be at removing already washed clothing, but try it. I also don't know how it works on satin, but I've tried it on a silk shirt and it worked. As always...TEST SPOT!!
